FREEDOM 251 :- POLICE FIR REGISTERED FOR CHEATING WITH US
Ever since the Ringing Bells Company unveiled the Freedom 251 smartphone that they claimed will be made available for just ₹251, the bells have been ringing (for the company). The latest news is that an FIR has been registered against the company for cheating (section 420)
The case has been registered based on a complaint by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya
Police have booked company promoter Mohit Goel and president Ashok Chaddha under IPC Section 420 and others. The charges against them include cheating, forgery and misleading the common men, small investors and people of India by campaign of its product Freedom 251 smartphone
The complaint further reads that the company had raised funds by issuing misleading advertisement in leading newspapers, playing with words such a Make in India project of PM Narendra Modi. "Tricolour was also being abused in the advertisement to misguide the buyers."
