This is a message from GreatBuyz App from Turaco Mobile Pvt Ltd. We have launched a marketing campaign with Paytm cash based on certain referral plan. Alas, things always don't per plan. A few things went good (campaign was well received and then it went viral) and then many things went wrong
ReplyDelete• The campaign has been picked up several blog sites. Our server got started genuine requests in 100s every minute. We stopped the campaign in the 4th evening.
• 1 or 2 websites created fake scripts that made the matters worse. We are able to figure out the fake referrals but it is taking quite a bit of manual effort to sort it out. We are hoping to resolve it in the next few days.
• As several of the sites have corrected reported the referral rewards:
o 2 users - Rs15
o 3 more users - Rs30 extra (total Rs45/-)
o 5 more users (total of 10, Rs 95/-)
o No further reward beyond 10 referrals. There was a message that is Rs30 per referral which is not correct.
• The campaign has been stopped by the evening of the 4th, however we are doing something extra:
o We are using eligibility criteria until the end of 4th September for genuine referrals.
o We are planning to credit a little extra for folks who have genuinely referred more than 10 users, up to a maxmum of Rs200/-
o We are continuously making the payments, either in parts or in full every day. Closing the backlog will take some time.
• We have been handling support requests continuously and we are sorting out each issue but we hope to resolve in 10 days.
